Rush Rush

In a time when new designers seem to be ripping off my uncles from Montenegro, where less is more and moth-eaten is even better, Jeremy Scott isn’t a breath of fresh air, he’s a dose of pure oxygen—the kind that makes you high. The guest list at yesterday’s A/W16 runway was perfect for Snapchat (they sat Perez Hilton next to Nicky Hilton and Perez almost died of embarrassment). Security checked lists on Spray Bottles which made guests take them both more and less seriously. Jeremy’s runways are surreal mini-parties without the “who’s cooler than who” vibe you’d find at other hot shows. We weren’t there to stare each other down, get street cred or discover the next new brand that will last two years…we were there for fun. We were there for him!

Yee-Haw, Cowgirl

Can we vote Jeremy Scott for president? He understands America more than anyone. The ‘Cowboys & Poodles’ collection is another hilarious and gorgeous tribute to American culture, whatever that is. Studded rubber high-heeled cowboy boots were paired with psychadelic faux fur coats, cow prints, fringed pants, metallic denim… even Ren and Stimpy got a moment! As the Matchy-Matchy leather cowgirls bounced around, we all forgot for a moment that outside there’s a blizzard and we’re about to freeze our little knee caps off while waiting for a photographer to snap a picture of our open-toed shoes. They’re killing my feet and I don’t even remember who made them.
