Wonderlist

We’ve picked ten of the finest new tracks from the past seven days. New music from Adam Lambert, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Blood Orange and Maggie Lindemann. You’re welcome.

Adam Lambert – Another Lonely Night [Gorex Remix]

To kick start your week we’re premiering the ace new Gorex remix of Adam Lambert’s “Another Lonely Night”. This remix should be enough to power you through even the most arduous day at work. Lambert has had a phenomenal year with the release of his brilliant third album The Original High and touring the world with Queen. He deserves a holiday but we’d prefer it if he just keeps releasing amazing pop songs.

Blood Orange – Sandra’s Smile

The video for “Sandra’s Smile” was shot on the streets of New York and was directed and edited by Blood Orange, aka Dev Hynes. The “Sandra” in the song’s title is Sandra Bland, the woman who died in police custody after being pulled over. The song is tribute to those killed at the hands of police and an indictment of a judicial system which repeatedly turns a blind-eye to the killing of African-American men and women.

Dua Lipa – Be The One

Singer/songwriter Dua Lipa has returned with another storming single. Produced by Digital Farm Animals, “Be The One” is a super slick slice of dream pop. We’re freakishly excited imagining what Lipa will release next.

Maggie Lindemann – Couple of Kids

Wonderlist fave Maggie Lindemann returns with new single ‘Couple Of Kids’ and it’s a beautiful ballad. Lindemann, aged just 17, clearly has an ear for a hit and with an army of online fans she is destined to take over the charts (and probably the world).

Society – The Fear The Hate

“The Fear The Hate” is the new track from Society, aka Jamie Girdler and producer Brendan Lynch, and is released via the good people at Luv Luv Luv. Society’s debut album is due to be released in early 2016.

Lawrence Rothman – Oz Vs. Eden

LA based artist Lawrence Rothman has dropped the video for new track “Oz Vs Eden” and it’s quite spectacular. Visually stunning yet deeply unsettling, the video was directed by the phenomenally talented Floria Sigismondi (David Bowie, Katy Perry, Bjork, The Cure). Guest vocals on the track come from Charli XCX.

Ariana Grande – Focus

“Focus” is the lead single from Ariana Grande’s upcoming third studio album Moonlight. Never one to rein in her vocals, “Focus” has more runs than a cricket test match. Produced by Max Martin (of course), “Focus” is available to buy/stream now. PS Did anyone else have an urge to buy a new mobile phone after watching the video?

Jeremih – oui

Jeremih has yet to announce the release date for Late Nights: The Album but to keep us sated he’s released a string of singles. His lasted single is the impossibly smooth “oui”. This should be enough to tide you over until the album *fingers crossed* is ready.

Okay Kaya – I’m Stupid (But I Love You)

Okay Kaya possess one of the most bewitching voices in pop music. Her latest single, “I’m Stupid (But I Love You)”, was recorded at Electric Lady Studios and features Tobias Jesso Jr. on piano.

Eleanor Friedberger – He Didn’t Mention His Mother

“He Didn’t Mention His Mother” is the lead single from Eleanor Friedberger’s (The Fiery Furnaces) upcoming album New View and is her first to be released via Frenchkiss Records.
