MISCHA MAFIA: WONDERLAND HALLOWEEN PLAYLIST

One of London’s most exciting DJs, Mischa Mafia, has done us the honour of compiling the ultimate Wonderland Halloween playlist.

London based DJ Mischa Mafia – key player in the PDA parties at Birthdays Dalston and their radio incarnations, as well as a frequent collaborator with the fantastic Siobhan Bell – has produced an appropriately dark and spooky Wonderland Halloween playlist to guide you into whatever ill-advised costume event you’re heading to this weekend. It’s got all the bass heavy antics you might expect from Mischa, who’s picked the moodiest turn-up tracks for us from a range of genres.

It kicks off with a deliciously eerie and obscure cut from Kenji Kawai’s ‘Ghost in a Shell OST’ and then comes through with a bit of everything from Bryell The Great’s intoxicatingly frantic take on Kanye in the form of ‘Send This Bitch Up’ (which opens with the aptly sinister “You’re all going to die down here”), to some Grimy Trap courtesy of South London’s very own Section Boyz. Then there’s the madly choppy stylings of ‘Louca’ and, as if that wasn’t eclectic enough for you (really?), Mischa throws in some spliced up Janet Jackson – one of our favourite cover stars at Wonderland – to take the edge off all the Gothic darkness. But only for a minute or two, don’t worry. All in all it’s got us more-than-ready for this evening and the bumper weekend beyond. Now all you need to do is pick your outfit: and remember, cat ears don’t count.
