Fendi have announced their brand new headquarters in Rome, and it’s a little bit stunning.
FENDI have just announced Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana designed by Marco Costanzi as the house’s new headquarters, and to celebrate the occasion have hosted the Una Nuova Roma. L’Eur e il Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana exhibition. This marks the beginning of FENDI’s ongoing commitment to protect and value the cities heritage, and all the while keep their surroundings just as beautiful as the clothes they produce. Nice of them, right?
“We are proud to give back today to our city, Rome, and to the whole world, the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, symbol of our Roman roots and of a continuous dialogue between traditions and modernity, values dear to FENDI since ever” – Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of FENDI.
Inside the exhibition, a section will pay homage to good design, which is obviously a core belief for FENDI, and it will include numerous original furnishings and interiors by Guglielmo Ulrich. One of the most outstanding pieces of the exhibition is The Poesia Di Luce, or Poem of Light in english, by artist Mario Nanni. Nanni created an outstanding light show to be projected on to the building, but sadly it’s gone now (wah).
