For Carlotta Kohl, modelling is “just a way to pay the rent sometimes. [But] if I’m into someone’s vision, I’m down to lend a hand – or full body.” It’s a good job she’s friends with Petra Collins, then – the photographer and Wonderland contributor with a clear creative eye.

After meeting Collins on a road trip to Santa Fe, the pair went on to model together for an Adam Selman shoot. Kohl refuses to label herself a feminist, even though she collaborated on Babe, Collins’ collection of female empowerment-themed illustrations and photos. “I think art by women that speaks to women’s issues is important, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be labelled.”
