Beauty at the Dior show is always something that’s eagerly awaited. This year, creative director of Dior Make-up Peter Phillips designed a luminous and glowy look to accompany the soft and romantic clothes that made up their SS16 collection. In the same vain that the fragile clothes were designed for the not so fragile woman, Phillips kept the make up look completely beauty orientated with pink shadow and soft toned lips. The whole thing screamed fairy tale princess, but where the princess ends up slaying the dragon herself and stealing the knight’s horse without leaving her number.

Peter Phillips explained that he “wanted to create a very ‘glowy’ makeup look, based on an idea of transparency and softness, in harmony with the pastel tones in Raf Simons’ collection. It’s a diaphanous beauty with a hint of hidden eroticism. The look echoes the poetic décor where a mass of fresh flowers creates an extraordinary garden”.

Since coming to Dior Make up in 2013, Phillips’ looks have become the talk of the beauty world. Wonderland were lucky enough to get backstage access at the SS16 show to see the make up maestro at work! Welcome to Peter Phillips’ world…
