I don’t do clothes, I create a story. That’s what I’m obsessed with,” claims Marseille-based LVMH prize-nominated designer, Simon-Porte Jacquemus. His collection for SS15 evoked the muted simplicity of childhood: deckchair stripes, beachy crop-tops and slouchy cuts. “I admire kids, I really love them, there is something in childhood that’s absolutely fascinating,” he says. “[It’s] between something naïve and spontaneous.” It set the tone for his imaginative, unpretentious eponymous empire.
