TWO SUPREME NEW COLLABS

Skate-giants Supreme publish book with photographer David Sims and release shots of their take on the Vans Sk8-Mid.

Supreme

A Supreme drop is always a hyped event, so it’s no surprise that we’re excited to hear about their first self-published book – a collaboration with legendary fashion photographer David Sims. First finding fame with magazines like i-D and The Face in the early 90s, Sims’ raw style was a welcome antidote to the maximalist, luxury aesthetic that characterised much of the 80s. Having shot campaigns for designers as diverse as Raf Simons, Prada and Calvin Klein, as well as pop-culture icons like Kurt Cobain and Kate Moss, this project with Supreme has Sims documenting the brand’s team skaters in a variety of settings, both in the studio and on-location, and is presented in hardback making it an essential collectible for any skate or streetwear fan.

Other big news for tomorrow’s drop is a new sneaker from Supreme and their long-time collaborators Vans (who they’ve worked with on many occasions). It’s a fresh take on a quintessential skate shoe – the Sk8-Mid – that will be available in three limited-edition colourways and features a premium suede and canvas upper with leather lining and insole. Both the Sk8-Mids and the Sims book will be available tomorrow online and in store – so get ready to camp out and join the ‘Preme-heads queuing at another trademark Thursday morning drop.
