Opening Ceremony have teamed up with our new practical footwear fave Teva, for a set of popping bright summer sandals.
Teva stands for freedom in footwear whilst fashion monolith Opening Ceremony unites travel and fashion in their concept boutiques. Having already collaborated once, to rave review, it was only logical that the adventurous duo collaborated for round two. Whilst Teva have been busy designing original sports sandals for all terrains, Opening Ceremony have been further pioneering both established and homegrown emerging designers in their stores worldwide.
Fitting into Opening Ceremony’s marketplace for international talent just perfectly, the SS15 capsule contains three styles for men and women. Think seaside and ice-cream colors, textured leathers, waterproof suedes and unexpected platforms that equate to bold sandals with names such as the Psyclone and the Hurricane XLT Gladiator. Each a re-imagination of classic practical Teva sandal styles, each pair is complete with nylon straps and comfort conscious soles. The perfect footwear companion when climbing your way to a well concealed cave party in Ibiza, no? To celebrate the collection, still life artist Sonia Rentsch shot a playful editorial with a kaleidoscopic edge. That’s our summer shoe wardrobe sorted.
The Teva X Opening Ceremony collection launches May 5th and will be available exclusively at Opening Ceremony boutiques in New York, LosAngeles, Japan and online here.
