Isabel Marant did the seventies subtly with cheesecloth and knits. We’ll be dancing everywhere in our ra-ra skirts next season.
PFW: Isabel Marant AW15
Delicately embroidered outerwear, V-neck knitwear, punched with eyelets and laced high and printed high-rise trousers, belted at the waist – the 70s were a clear influence for Isabel Marant this season (along with the rest of the fashion crowd) and the resulting collection was carefree, youthful and effortlessly chic.
A Classic Statement
Tried and tested shapes and silhouettes were re-appropriated in untypical fabrics, for statement looks. Think knitted ra-ra skirts, knitted dresses with exaggerated shoulders and military outerwear, worn cropped.
The cheesecloth blouse worn with jeans – the perfect solution for nailing the 70s trend; and the three-piece printed suiting, perfect for day to night dressing.
