NIGHT TALES RETURNS

Night Tales, the award-winning venture from Background Bars, is back this winter for your fix of experimental nightlife and fine food

Night Tales

Winner of ‘Best Pop-up bar 2014’, Night Tales is now in the business of making Winter nightlife the best it can be. For seven weeks, a 10,000 sq/ft space in Shoreditch will play host to the greatest gastronomy, music and bar culture that London has to offer. Teaming up with fellow award-winner The Halo Group on production, the space will feature their two-tiered structure with a raised platform mezzanine and canopy to protect revellers from the cruel winter elements – especially those of us who have an aversion to wearing a jacket on a night out.

Not that standing up and exposing yourself to the elements is the only way to enjoy Night tales. The intimate seating areas and private serviced chalets accompany warming log fires and candle light, so there’s no need to make like a penguin if you’re not that way inclined. As well as three new concept bars – yes, THREE – Night Tales’ food partners include purveyors of ‘filthy sexy meaty concotions’ Patty&Bun, West London lads Rum Kitchen, the pizza people Voodoo Ray’s and many more.

If you’re looking to feel comfortably numb, you’ll be in good hands at Night Tales. Tales of Whiskey will be found on the mezzanine, ready for you to whip up a few merry tales of your own. The Hot Hut Cocktail Bar will occupy the ground floor, serving cocktail realness in the form of espresso martinis, almond white russians and more.

The launch weekend commencing Friday 7th November will be hosted by infamous compilation series Late Night Tales. Django Django will be doing a DJ set, and legends of disco Low Life will appear with Bill Brewster, Frank Broughton and Justin Strauss as a special guest – all the way from New York.

Night Tales: it might just be the thing to make the Christmas season cool.
