We take a closer look at the limited edition collaboration between Olympia Le-Tan and Pierre Marcolini

A collaboration between the world of Haute Chocolaterie and fashion may not sound like the most conventional of pairings, but in the case of French designer Olympia Le-Tan and Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini, it’s a match made in heaven, and that’s before you even open the box.

Whilst Marcolini’s passion lies within Haute Chocolaterie, travel and art, Olympia Le-Tan is renowned for her uber feminine hangbags and minaudières, that celebrate literary classics. But one thing they both share, is their passion for only the finest ingredients and materials, their luxury craftsmanship and their underlying mischievous streaks.

The resulting collaboration equates to two boxes designed by Le-Tan, that echo the aesthetic of her trademark clutches – the prefect way to house Marcolini’s decadent and delicious chocolates. Each box lid has a witty design on a popping pink background, with pouting lips that speak the words “Girls have only one word on their lips” and eyes that tease  “My eyes are bigger than my tummy” eating chocolate has never been so fun. The insides of the boxes are lined with Olympia Le-Tan’s iconic fabric including a traditional pair of labels reading “Handmade with Love” and “Olympia Le-Tan for Pierre Marcolini”. A limited edition, of course!

Now for the edible part – choose from 30 of the Maison’s famous chocolates or a dozen macaroons. If in doubt, opt for both. We certainly did.
