We premiere the video for Saint Raymond aka Callum Burrows’ hypnotic new  single, ‘I Want You’

At the tender age go just 19, Nottingham hailing singer Callum Burrows, aka Saint Raymond is making waves this summer, big waves in fact. Having already supported Haim at the end of last year, released his second Ep ‘Young Blood’ at the start of this year, performed a sell out gig at London’s Scala in May and played on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury this yummier, the last twelve months have been a whirlwind of success for Burrows and that’s before we even mention his debut album, that’s set to drop at the end of this year.

Having worked closely with Jacknife Lee on his latest single ‘I Want You’, Burrows has provided us with a heady mix of afro-beat guitar, an entrancing looping chorus and feel-good summer-fuelled melody. Today we premiere the video for this hypnotic track on Wonderland. Directed Niall O’Brien, official set photographer to Jonathan Glazer who has previously worked on visuals for Radiohead and Massive Attack amongst others, Niall has also shot the likes of Chloe Sevigny and Scarlett Johanson.

Speaking of the single, Burrows says: “I wrote ‘I Want You’ recently, so not only am I looking forward to releasing it, but also to introducing it to my setlist and performing it live. It is an up-tempo, energetic and summery song so I think it will be a fun moment at festivals.” He’s already a name on many people’s lips, touted as bone of the most exciting, British, breakthrough guitar acts of this year and if there’s more where this came from, we can see why.
