We premiere “The Formula” ft. Sol by Amp Live, lifted from his upcoming UK debut album “Headphone Concerto”

With provocative vocals layered over a punchy beat, “The Formula” ft. Sol by Amp Live is a super enjoyable listening experience and one that will have you desperately wanting to hear more from the  American hip-hop producer who is also one half of DJ duo Zion I.

“The Formula” ft. Sol is an offering from AmpLive’s new album “Headphone Concerto” (released August 4th on Plug Research Records) and if the lead single is anything to go by, it’s going to be extraordinary. Drawing influence from the producers childhood years when he would spend his time playing drums in a Black Baptist Church and hanging out with skaters with whom he listened to New Wave in Texan suburbs, the album is steeped in history and heritage.

Starting with an infectious hook, followed by a bouncy rolling baseline, “The Formula” has the makings of a summer anthem and with lyrics that speak of Amp’s life experiences, the track offers genuine truth and the makings of a chart topper in equal measure. Vibrant, uplifting and addictive – this track is to be noticed for all the right reasons.

From his expansive knowledge of diverse music genre including jazz, hip-hop and electronica, Amp has created a perfect ensemble of drum machines, live instruments, singers and rappers to create “Headphone Concerto”, proving that he is a modern day composer, creating a concerto for all.
