Having garnered wide spread attention in the past few months with the release of her debut album ‘May’ unveiled April this year, we have been backing Danish musician Broken Twin for some time. At only twenty-five years old, Majke Voss Romme’s voice possesses the raw vocal quality of someone who has been in the game far longer than she has and whilst her music is largely built upon piano, strings and her haunting vocals, her debut album is a work of depth and beauty. “I was looking for a title that was simple, and not giving too much away, reflecting the songs,” says the Danish auteur. “Also it represents a time of year that seems to fit the songs. Spring is a time when everything is changing. It’s a hopeful season.”
The video premiere for ‘Out of Air’ showcases Romme’s vocals in all their heartfelt captivating glory, continuing her ongoing aesthetic, that Broken Twin songs are intended to live in the mind of the listener. Read more about Broken Twin in our New Noise from December.
