Showcasing a striking visual feast, Prada open their fifth store in China’s biggest city, Shanghai
Taking over a new 1000 square-meter space in Shanghai’s “L’Avenue” mall, Prada have opened their fifth store in China’s largest city. Designed by Italian architect Roberto Baciocchi, the new store presents Prada’s men and women’s leather goods, accessories, footwear and ready-to-wear collections.
Creating a striking visual feast, the façade of the store showcases a metallic curved surface of tightly-packed, crystal-faceted louvres through which the interior of both floors of the store can be glimpsed. Whilst Prada’s worldwide identity – black and white marble floor, green-fabric clad walls and polished steel display units with Marquina marble drawers – is ever present throughout the store, green velvet Clover Leaf sofas, designed by Verner Panton and reproduced exclusively for Prada, complete the interior design. Also featuring pony skin rugs, ostrich leather sofas, crystal display counters and marble floors – this is another episode of decadent Prada luxury, polished to perfection.
