Three years on from birth, AMI announces the opening of its second Parisian store on Rive Gauche
Located in the heart of the Saint Germain des Près neighborhood, AMI’s second Parisian store was designed by Alexandre Mattiussi in collaboration with the studio KO architecture agency. Taking inspiration from traditional menswear ateliers this new space, which includes rustic bare brick walls and decadent check floor tiles, personifies discreet Parisian elegance mirroring the chic bearing of its residents who elegantly drift from Café de Flore to Deux Magots.
Whilst this address originally belonged to an antique boutique, made famous by Swedish model Haga in the 1980’s, that was a famous destination for rare objects attracting a sophisticated and high fashion crowd, AMI strives to continue channeling this mythic energy through this new boutique. The result – a space that is full of life and conviviality, exemplifying the core pillars of the AMI brand. The new store also features an array of portraits of old men, all wearing red hats, which is set to be a running theme in the future when AMI will invite their friends to create their own interpretations of the iconic AMI red hat.
