Fashion shows have come a long way over the years, it wasn’t long ago live streaming was seen as innovative technology, it seems soon there will be little point in attending fashion shows. Italian fashion house Fendi are really pushing the boat out as far as technology is concerened for AW14.  They will use high definition cameras on flying drones in order to share their latest collection around the world.

The drones give those watching from the comfort of their home the oppourtunity to feel the emotions and atmosphere from the show without moving an inch, they can also switch between general view and aerial view via the drones, whatever you prefer.

FENDI’s digital strategy resolves to continuously raise the profile of the brand, which has always been synonymous with creativity, quality and innovation. We are enthusiastic  to be the first using this technology on the catwalk which will allow us, once again, to be pioneers in our field and projected towards the future.  In addition, we will  allow our fans to see our fashion show like no one has ever seen before,” states Pietro Beccari, President and CEO of FENDI.

Does this mark a revolution for fashion shows and how they are broadcasted to the world? Only time will tell, tune in tomorrow at fendi.com at 11:30am to see what all the fuss is about!
