Watch the trailer for our Feb/March ‘Babes’ issue – with a little help from Wonderland‘s personal cheerleading squad.

This February, Wonderland is all about celebrating the babe. We’ve got hot new faces Dave Franco and Juno Temple pulling double duty on our covers, a crush-worthy host of rock chicks in Saint Laurent Paris (holla, Caroline Polachek from Chairlift) and the latest fashion shot on the hottest boys and girls in town.

To celebrate, Wonderland filmmaker Ozzie Pullin shot two of London’s perkiest cheer squads to do a little high-kick ‘n’ dance for this issue. Pick up the latest Wonderland this Thursday to see our fashion editorial with them – scrunchies and pom poms not included. Remember, the Republic of Babeland isn’t a democracy – it’s a cheer-ocracy.

The Babes issue comes out on Saturday 9 February. Find out more about the issue here.To subscribe, go to magazinecafe.co.uk.

With seven films coming out in 2013, BAFTA Rising Star nominee Juno Temple is unstoppable – and she’s also the cover girl for our Feb/March issue.

Juno Temple on Wonderland cover

Given that our issue is all about celebrating and reinventing the ‘babe’ in popular culture, it’s not surprise that we’ve gone for a left-field stunner for our cover girl. Juno Temple isn’t your average screen siren. Instead, the English beauty specialises in brave, bold roles: from the deceitful Lola in Antonement to the naive Dottie in Killer Joe, who’s deflowered by Matthew McConaughey’s psycho killer.

Photographed by Michael Hauptman, Temple wears Dolce & Gabbana. The new issue hits stands on Monday 11 February – stay tuned this week for exclusive pictures from our shoot.

This year, Temple’s appearing in no less than seven films, including the eagerly-anticipated Lovelace with Amanda Seyfried and Magic Magic with Michael Cera – and don’t forget the not-so-small matter of her BAFTA nom for Rising Star (voting closes on the 8th).

“The fucking joy of great acting is that you forget who you’re watching and just become engrossed in the character,” she tells us. “I hope that happens with me, sometimes.” Somehow, we don’t think that’s going to be a problem.

Sincere, thoughtful and kooky – forget the frat-boy rumours, Dave Franco is Hollywood’s new heartthrob and the star of Wonderland’s Feb/March issue.

Dave Franco on the cover of Wonderland Feb/March

Actor, writer, director and Warm Bodies star Dave Franco is #1 of our two cover stars for ‘The Babes Issue’, our Feb/March homage to all the beautiful people.

Shot by Danielle Levitt, Franco wears a new season shirt by Dolce & Gabbana, printed trousers by Balmain and shoes by Converse. The new issue hits stands on Monday 11 February. Stay tuned next week to see who’s on our second cover.

In our opinion, Dave is the superior of the two Franco brothers. While his breakout roles in Scrubs and 21 Jump Street saw him play the insufferable douchebag, he’s got ‘hottie’ written all over him. “I’m sure the world thinks I’m a huge asshole, but I promise you I’m a nice guy!” he tells us.

Elsewhere in the issue, BAFTA-nominated Juno Temple explains her love of cutesy knickers; Beautiful Creatures babe Alice Englert gets down with In Fear co-star Iain de Caestecker; Isabella Rossellini tells us about her Bulgari collaboration; and some of the world’s coolest, fittest young musicians including Gabriel Bruce, Christopher Owens and Caroline Polachek from Chairlift show us their beauty spots.

We have over 50 pages of gorgeous SS13 collections, including London fashion wunderkind Claire Barrow styling her own collection, a military excursion into Dries Van Noten’s spring collection, and an accessories shoot with some very jumpy cheerleaders…

Plus: Juergen Teller, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Emily Blunt, Pop Art legend Mel Ramos, DIIV, Gross Magic, Ryan Lo, Estella Warren and Lars von Trier muse Stacey Martin, all in an issue that celebrates the bold and the beautiful.
