Yep, having offended well in previous years, the sometimes-loveable, mostly-hateable, man who gave us <em>The Office<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Extras <\/em>and, unfortunately,\u00a0<em>Derek<\/em>,\u00a0was welcomed back for another round &#8211; for better, or for worse. So, in honour of kicking award&#8217;s season off with a bang, we&#8217;ve compiled a list of our top seven Golden Globes moments: they&#8217;re not all Gervais being rude, we promise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Gosling &amp; Brad Pitt not sharing a stage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/H4oJaGflW5w\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The moment when Ryan Gosling pretends not to want to share the stage with Brad Pitt is a not\u00a0especially funny slice of banter, if we&#8217;re honest, but nonetheless, seeing two of the world&#8217;s most handsome men doing their thing is no bad thing. Also, it&#8217;s a fine chance to gawk at clean-shaven Brad&#8217;s anti-aging powers: Pharrell, check yo-self.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leo&#8217;s awks bump with Gaga<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/uproxx.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/01\/leo.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Where did Lady Gaga go? &#8211; you may\u00a0or may\u00a0not have been asking the past few years. Well, for her performance in <i>American Horror Story\u00a0<\/i>she won a Golden Globe. So, there&#8217;s you answer. However, on her way to the stage she knocked into (or was it the other way around) a laughing Leonardo DiCaprio. His guilty-but-cheeky face started trending on Twitter &#8211; because apparently people don&#8217;t have much going on in their lives &#8211; and, like all things, can be best\u00a0enjoyed in this GIF.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ricky Gervais is offensively funny &#8211; maybe. Pt. 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8mOgvqYGgMU\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Okay, now it&#8217;s time to to talk about Ricky. He made lots of offensive gags, some of which were funnier than others. This particular insulting rant,\u00a0aimed at Sean Penn&#8217;s recent (unwitting) involvement in the arrest of Mexican drug baron &#8216;El Chapo&#8217; was one of the not-too-unfunny ones: &#8220;You disgusting, pill-popping, sexual deviant scum. I\u2019m going to do\u00a0this monologue and then go into hiding. Oh, and Saoirse Ronan and Tobey Maguire didn&#8217;t look bad in Heidi-made creations either.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ricky Gervais is offensively funny &#8211; maybe. Pt. 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.vox-cdn.com\/thumbor\/Ctfftd8l9B5yR394LBwZn2rQQIU=\/cdn0.vox-cdn.com\/uploads\/chorus_asset\/file\/5892755\/melgibson.0.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After some jokes at the expense of Caitlyn Jenner&#8217;s driving and Roman Polanski&#8217;s underage sex charges, Ricky took shots at Mel Gibson by recalling the time he previously took the erstwhile Braveheart down in 2010: &#8220;I\u2019m in the awkward position of having to introduce him again. Listen, I\u2019m sure it\u2019s embarrassing for both of us. I blame NBC for this terrible situation. Mel blames\u2026we know who Mel blames. Listen, I still feel a bit bad for it. Mel\u2019s forgotten all about it apparently, that\u2019s what drinking does. I want to say something nice about Mel before he comes out. So: I\u2019d rather have a drink with him in his hotel room tonight than with Bill Cosby.&#8221; Whatever you say, Ricky, no one&#8217;s gonna be mad at you for throwing some shade on\u00a0famous anti-Semite Mel Gibson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>J-Law &amp; A-Schu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2xtzrCaY690\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The internet&#8217;z two favourite nu-feminist girls (and all round besties) shared the stage together for some quality double-act fun &#8211;
