{"id":62953,"date":"2016-01-11T18:52:07","date_gmt":"2016-01-11T18:52:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wonderlandmagazine.com\/?p=62953"},"modified":"2017-07-31T09:48:30","modified_gmt":"2017-07-31T09:48:30","slug":"lcm-moschino-aw16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wonderlandmagazine.com\/2016\/01\/11\/lcm-moschino-aw16\/","title":{"rendered":"LCM: Moschino AW16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Moschino continues to sit at the outrageous end of the spectrum for another season.<br \/>\nz81a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Z81A0005.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-62993\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Z81A0005-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Z81A0005\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Gilbert and George<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The two British artists Gilbert and George, and their extensive archive, were the main touchpoint for Jeremy Scott\u2019s AW16 collection over at Moschino on Sunday night. The Italian brand is wholly predicated on humour, and it\u2019s always refreshing to see a shit load of colour all over the catwalk. And colour was what we got this season \u2014 much like G&amp;G\u2019s work \u2014 there was suiting, jeans, jackets and shirts all in shades of hi-octane pink, yellow, blue, green with sprayed and coloured squiggles of black and white all over them \u2014 painted on creases. This is the suit for the one who wants to stop traffic, and indeed they will. The only disappointing thing is that Gilbert and George like David Cameron (what a blow), but then again Jeremy Scott isn&#8217;t necessarily known for his on point fashion politics \u2014 so perhaps a well suited match. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">I wish I was a Punk Rocker<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Tight, low slung skinnies in acid yellows and heavy blacks had matching half-kilts swinging from the bum, and criss-cross straps wound around the legs \u2014 reminiscent of early Westwood, or Madonna during the re-invention years. Doc Martens and Wellies (still not sure about these\u2026) were spray painted, and detailed with black and white scrawls \u2014 much like the suits. This was by far the most baddass offering we\u2019ve seen from Scott at Moschino, while he continues to mix the hyper-kitsch with precision design, his model army became street warriors in the latter half of the show: sleeves and trousers read words \u2018hope\u2019 or \u2018fear\u2019 or \u2018power\u2019 in white block capitals. And it\u2019s no doubt that Jeremy Scott, indeed, has a lot of power \u2014 responsible for one of the biggest brand comebacks ever, Moschino continues to sit at the outrageous end of the spectrum which is a welcome change in a world full of moody monotones and stuffy old suiting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Z81A0039.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-62995\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Z81A0039-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Z81A0039\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Z81A0213.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-63011\"
