R&B production duo Jarami originally broke onto the scene by remixing our faves Rihanna and Aliyah (BBHMM and Rock The Boat, respectively), and then went on to release their excellent debut single ‘Wings’ featuring Jesse Boykins III and Pell. The pair are not short on strong collaborations, as they today premiere a funk-filled, slick reworking of CHINAH’s ‘We Go Back’ with none other than Skizzy Mars on Wonderland.

With the duo hailing from Sweden, it seems almost inevitable they’d come with something good, and with their ‘We Go Back’ they don’t disappoint. Filled with the echoing seductive vocals of CHINAH layered with handclaps, uplifting twirling synths and ample funk, the track reaches its peak with Skizzy Mars’ melodic flow, an appearance which originated in the up-and-coming NYC rapper’s friendship with the pair.

We checked in with Jarami about the origins of the mix, and this is what they had to say, “We ripped the song off Soundcloud and cut out the vocals with a really complicated program. We played some live instruments over the vocals, saved the song on a floppy disc, sent the floppy disc to New York with our pet gorilla, “Gorilla.” Skizzy Mars beat up our “ Gorilla”, stole the floppy disc and then put down a lil’ scat to it.. We traced back the floppy disc and found it in a trash can in the Bronx. The rest is history!”
