The editor-in-chief of<em> American Vogue<\/em> and artistic director of Conde Nast is one of the most revered and feared women in fashion. We saw her ruthlessness in\u00a0<em>The September Issue<\/em>, along with her honesty, pride and as cheesy as it sounds&#8230; passion for fashion. In her 66 years she&#8217;s done stints at\u00a0<em>Harper&#8217;s Bazaar\u00a0<\/em>as well as British and American\u00a0<em>Vogue<\/em>\u00a0and has even had a &#8220;fictional&#8221; film based on her life (<em>The Devil Wears Prada<\/em>, duh).<\/p>\n<p>Becoming editor-in-chief of\u00a0<em>Vogue\u00a0<\/em>in 1988, Wintour has since become a firm front row fixture globally. Elitist? Maybe. Controversial? Certainly. Regardless, she&#8217;s changed the face of both\u00a0<em>Vogue<\/em> and\u00a0<em>American Vogue <\/em>almost<em>\u00a0<\/em>irreversibly, a phenomenal feat and for that Anna, we thank you, happy birthday.
