We’ve got a video premiere for you courtesy of super-talented duo, HVMNS.

HVMNS is the collaborative effort of Dutch born two times Emmy winning producer/writer Guus Hoevenaars – who has worked with everyone’s favourite, queens of pop, Scissor Sisters – and Swedish vocalist and songwriter Moa Drugge. Guus spent many years searching for the perfect singer and co-writer and found Moa by chance at a basement gig in London where she was performing as a backing vocalist. Lucky for him, and lucky for us as well, because the group’s first release, ‘Dirt + Grime’, is everything we could have hoped for – oh, and we’ve got the video premiere.

The track has a lavish soundscape full of bold drums and sweeping string work (courtesy of Q Strings, a classically trained quartet who have lent their talents to Ellie Goulding and Goldfrapp among others). It’s Moa’s powerful vocals, though, that really mark out the song as something special: they reach soaring and powerful heights whilst also exploring subtler and more fragile moments. The video itself was filmed on a secret location in London and features the contemporary dancer Luke Mann, whose tortured yet graceful movements are the perfect foil to the song’s lush audio: these guys are definitely one to watch.
