The piece is a disco-fuelled celebration of glamorous evening-wear featuring Lady Gaga \u2013 who also worked with Nile Rodgers to create a cover version of his classic \u2018I Want Your Love\u2019 for the video \u2013 as well as a host of models who slip on their patent dancing shoes and show us their moves. Ford said that \u201chaving a runway show has become so much about the creation of imagery for online and social media and watching a filmed fashion show can be like watching a filmed play\u2026I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ford is, of course, no stranger to the medium of film, having directed the dangerously chic \u2018A Single Man\u2019 back in 2009 and with another project \u2013 <em>Nocturnal Animals <\/em>\u2013 in the works. The SS16 film, and accompanying lookbook, showcase typically luxe night-time pieces in shimmering blacks and glittering metallics: silver jackets thrown over a zebra print dress, for example. The designer also lent the elegant tailored touch for which he is renowned to billowy trousers with technical zipper details (like an extremely graceful cargo pant) and opulent white suits and separates. The men, of course, were impeccably turned out in the brand\u2019s trademark wide-lapelled dinner jackets and suits that are beloved by Hollywood\u2019s more debonair leading men.
