LBD dreams were thrown amongst the ever present basics at A.P.C.

Not So Basic

At A.P.C.’s heart is the basic. Clean lines, thick-cut denims, fine stripes and even finer florals set the mood for a not-so-different offering from the leader in wardrobe staples. It is a hard feat to achieve, and an even harder one to keep up. So often attempts at the minimal become cheap or even a little early-noughties dated, but A.P.C. – under the morally questionable Jean Touitou (referencing his past race-related blunders – nothing too extreme, just deeply misinformed) – manage to retain its super wearable appeal.

The LBD

This wardrobe essential was a new turn for the brand – with a range of three little black dresses differing in cut and hardware: one strapped with leather, one fluidly bias cut, and one with a sling-over-the shoulder cape feel. This departure towards evening wear managed to stay totally, and skilfully, inside the brand’s parameters – offering yet another perfectly balanced staple for a whole new occasion.
