Originally NYC&#8217;s first woman&#8217;s only property which opened in 1903, the Martha Washington hotel housed the new class of working woman who dreamed of living in the big apple. Once exclusively for the ladies, the building was later restored into a hotel so it could be &#8216;exclusively for everyone&#8217;, and exclusive it is. Situated so close to the Empire States building, Union Square and the Fashion District it&#8217;s no surprise that the Martha Washington has an impressive list of past clientele, including a young Eleanor Roosevelt and Judy Garland. With it&#8217;s terrazzo floors and grand spaces, guests have a choice of 261 rooms that promise the ultimate comfort. From cosy twin sized rooms to deluxe kings, you can take your pick from a wide range of simplistically modern rooms that have all have all been renovated with a New York edge.<\/p>\n<p >If you decided to chill out while on your stay then don&#8217;t feel guilty, there&#8217;s plenty to see and do while at the Martha Washington. You could check out the MARTA restaurant, located in the hotel lobby and feast your eyes on their rustic Italian pizzas, if theres pizza we always approve. Or perhaps in-room dining is more your thing after a long flight, well it&#8217;s lucky MARTA does room service too. After going to the 24 hour gym the prospect of checking out the Veronica&#8217;s lobby bar for a drink, or two can hopefully lure you in to give you a night cap for that jet lag you might be experiencing.
