The magazine that is &#8216;entertainment for men&#8217; features nude photographs of some of the biggest names, from Joan Collins to Kim Kardashain \u2013 tastefully done, of course&#8230; Today, to celebrate Hefner&#8217;s 89th birthday, we&#8217;ve put together a list of out most-loved\u00a0<em>Playboy\u00a0<\/em>covers.<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"More...\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/wp-includes\/js\/tinymce\/plugins\/wordpress\/img\/trans.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marilyn Monroe, September 1953<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Produced in Hugh Hefner&#8217;s kitchen, who else would grace the very first issue of <em>Playboy<\/em> but Mariylin Monroe. Inside the iconic cover hid black and white nude photographs taken from a calendar as Marilyn never actually posed for the magazine.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2015\/04\/image13.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-48542\" alt=\"image\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2015\/04\/image13-794x1024.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Dolly Parton, October 1978<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dressed as a bunny (obvs), Dolly Parton graced the cover of Playboy in the 90&#8217;s to promote her 20th album titled &#8216;Heartbreaker&#8217;. This might be the country music bombshell&#8217;s only cover, but it made a lasting impression that&#8217;s for sure.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2015\/04\/image18.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-48549\" alt=\"image\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2015\/04\/image18.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Madonna, September 1985<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Queen Madge covered <em>Playboy<\/em> in the 80&#8217;s and the magazine used nude photographs taken in New York when she was a struggling singer in 1978. \u00a0&#8220;Madonna Nude unlike a virgin&#8230; for the very first time&#8221; \u2013 quite the cover line.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2015\/04\/image19.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-48550\" alt=\"image\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2015\/04\/image19.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Cindy Crawford, July 1988<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Posing nude in a tastefully shot pictorial, this was the first of Cindy Crawford&#8217;s two covers. Posing both clothed and nude the chosen women were used to investigate the myth that such schools catered to short-haired &#8220;dyed in the wool feminists&#8221;. Photographed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the magazine, Kate Moss posed for a 18 page story of classic black and white photos that followed her to her future state of undress.
