With her golden locks and pale skin, Ellen A.W. Sundes’ looks are nearly as angelic as her voice. The singer from Oslo is considerably introverted for a pop star, she explains she’s been hiding her musical talent away for a while, “I’ve spent so much time being too shy to show people my music or even actually write finished songs because of my own self-censorship. This whole Sea Change project is about letting go and just being comfortable in this space.”

Warming synths and keyboards hum comfortingly in the background as Sundes’ voice rises high above the haze on ‘We Run’. It a track tinged with melancholia but ultimately like a bittersweet daydream that ends too soon. Sundes sounds like she’s breathing a shimmering sigh but it’s just her effortless voice. You have to wonder why on earth she hid it away for so long.
