Marcus Pepperell and John Hamson Jr. have been musical allies since meeting at secondary school. With a shared love of music, and all of its intricacies, the next natural step would be to produce and create sounds together. As a duo they’ve enjoyed various incarnations – arriving at their current, critically praised state – THUMPERS. With, ‘Galore’, their debut album, garnering the support and momentum to fuel them through an extensive tour, they wouldn’t settle for the respite of downtime and now we reap the benefits in a newly released ‘Together EP’.

With accolades from NME, Pitchfork and The Line of Best Fit amongst a host of others, the new release is a sonic assortment of duets and collaborations featuring the likes of Chloe Howl, Blood Red Shoes, Sun Club and Hunger Games actor, Jena Malone – the latter featuring on the opening track, ‘Devotee’.

The band suggested we get a guerrilla performance of ‘Devotee’ on one of the few remaining London public pianos, under a railway pass. So that’s exactly what we did.
