Having shunned Charlemagne for this reason, whose moustache was apparently key to his success as head of the Holy Roman Empire, first up on our list is&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONCHITA WURST:<\/strong> The Facial Hair of Tolerance.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/s1.yimg.com\/bt\/api\/res\/1.2\/xHFIONlQRFztcammUu7_aQ--\/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTYzMA--\/http:\/\/l.yimg.com\/os\/publish-images\/omg\/2014-05-11\/abaac2e0-d8fc-11e3-a721-efdeacd6f4c1_anigif_enhanced-buzz-24119-1399753578-15.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Rules are made to be broken, and this non-conforming Queen of Eurovision smashed every rule in the gender-normative book. It is just a beard (too much? nah!) guys, but it\u2019s also a statement: one that calls for an end to discrimination and hatred. As Graham Norton himself said \u201cIt seems like Eurovision has done something that matters \u2013 just a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>FRIDA KAHLO:<\/strong> The Moustache of Emancipation<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/11\/bkextreme.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-40111\" alt=\"bkextreme\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/11\/bkextreme.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>An awe-inspiring artist whose powerful and candid work depicted the experience of women in a more explicit way than ever before. Moustachioed and beautiful to the extreme. Frida Kahlo was emulated by the one and only Beyonc\u00e9 this Halloween, although regrettably sans moustache.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GOMEZ ADDAMS:<\/strong> The Gothic Lip Toupee<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/38.media.tumblr.com\/7ce032f66fa60e2644f2bcc2906325a6\/tumblr_mz5irkjUQM1tnxpnlo1_500.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A strangely suave combination of Castilian royalty and British aristocracy, this eccentric and passionate Latin Lover sports a pencil moustache of impeccable breeding. A difficult moustache to pull of, best when paired with a chalk stripe suit and a vintage Cuban cigar. Probably the world\u2019s most famous moustache and taking pride of place in this hallowed hall of moustache fame.
