{"id":37559,"date":"2014-09-29T11:58:05","date_gmt":"2014-09-29T11:58:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wonderlandmagazine.com\/?p=37559"},"modified":"2017-03-01T17:29:29","modified_gmt":"2017-03-01T17:29:29","slug":"premiere-palace-bitter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wonderlandmagazine.com\/2014\/09\/29\/premiere-palace-bitter\/","title":{"rendered":"Premiere:  Palace \u2013 &#8220;Bitter&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We totally fell for Palace&#8217;s dreamy sound after their debut release &#8220;Veins&#8221;, so we&#8217;re thrilled to be able to premiere the visuals for their latest single &#8220;Bitter&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Palace.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37561\" alt=\"Palace\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Palace.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Taken off of their forthcoming &#8220;Lost in the Night&#8221; EP it&#8217;s a heady piece of subtly anthemic guitar rock, with a focus on Leo Wyndham&#8217;s soaring vocals which sit in dominance at the fore, presiding over a lilting set of woozy riffs that hark back to the early days of indie stalwarts like Bombay Bicycle Club and the Mystery Jets.<\/p>\n<p>Working in perfect unison with the Liam Saint-Pierre-directed video, the clip plays off the story of Adam and Eve, exploring themes of obsession and desire and acting as a superb accompaniment to the song. Having already been hand picked by Jamie T to support him at his show in Tufnell Park, this is another strong calling card from a band who are rapidly making a name for themselves.
