Whilst Ashish SS14 was an all-sequin-everything logo-brandished extravaganza, for AW14 Ashish Gupta looked to the \u201890s. Sending a hypnotic haze of sequins down the catwalk, along with a whirlwind of LED light-up super-stomping boots and a hurricane of ’90s relics and references – crimped hair crowned with tiaras, frayed, feathered and ruffled denim, acid-bright eye make-up and enough glitter to give the fairy godmother a run for her money, there is no need to explain why we\u2019re so excited for the tenth installment of Ashish X Topshop.<\/p>\n

Staying true to his tongue-in-cheek aesthetic, for this collection, entitled \u2018Beach Please!\u2019, Ashish is taking us on a one way trip to his dream resort \u2013 \u2018Paradise Hotel\u2019. The logo of which he has emblazoned on beach towelling textured garments and accessories along with the slogans \u2018Service Please\u2019 and \u2018Do Not Disturb\u2019. \u201cI love this collection, it’s perfect for the beach and for pool parties, and they have the best ones at the Paradise Hotel!\u201d says Ashish.\u00a0 \u201cI hope it’s going to be as much fun to wear as it has been to design!\u201d With clear plastic-fantastic backpacks, candy coloured LED light up Buffalo stompers and flesh bearing net dresses all featuring in the collection, it doesn\u2019t get much more fun to wear than that!<\/p>\n

This 10th collaboration in as many years with Ashish reaffirms Topshop\u2019s ongoing support of London design talent, both through the British Fashion Council\u2019s NEWGEN scheme and collaborations. The collection will be stocked internationally in flagship Topshop<\/a> stores from May 29th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n
