&#8216;THE STORY OF RUNNING&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The label popular with sneaker connoisseurs will be exhibiting archive pieces from the 1950s to present day, alongside exclusive collaborations and collectors\u2019 items dropping for the first time in Europe.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Saucony, the authentic running brand born in 1898, are proud to announce the opening of their first London store with a 4 week installation in celebration of their illustrious heritage and their fundamental place in running history.\u00a0\u00a0 Launched ahead of the 2014 London Marathon, the exhibition and footwear store entitled &#8216;The Saucony Story of Running&#8217; opens on Neal Street in\u00a0London\u2019s Seven Dials from the 20<sup>th<\/sup> of\u00a0March 2014.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/03\/scvsdvs.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-28363 alignleft\" alt=\"scvsdvs\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/03\/scvsdvs-e1394793401276.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Originating from Saucony Creek in Pennsylvania, Saucony\u2019s history in footwear saw the label producing boots for the first American astronaut to\u00a0walk in space and creating military boots for the US Army in World\u00a0War II, before creating the trainers Rod Dixon wore when he won the New York City marathon\u00a0in 1983. \u00a0From\u00a0the creation of the first slip-lasted running shoe, to the introduction of their innovative &#8216;Grid&#8217;
