Anderson goes earthy and architectural for AW14, read about it here.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/001-e1393000713742.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"001\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/001-e1393000713742.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In only his fifth year of his career its safe to say JW Anderson is a young designer however from his achievments to date you wouldn&#8217;t believe it. LVMH bought a 46% stake in his label last year, his first collection as creative director of Loewe will debut at Paris Fashion Week and with two successful collaborations, one with Sunspel the other with Topshop, its safe to say hes more than up and coming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/020-e1393000508682.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27617\" alt=\"020\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/020-e1393000508682.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>His latest offering was inspired by the work of artist Graham Sutherland, which meant his minimalist designs had more of an earthy feel with shades of murky green, mustards, browns and greys. He also used unattractive fabrics such as heavy wools and corduroy, a fabric he himself admitted to hating but we know Anderson loves a good challenge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/002-e1393000700342.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27599\" alt=\"002\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/002-e1393000700342.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The silhouette was layered and distorted with particular attention paid to the neckline, there were turtle neck&#8217;s, deep cowl&#8217;s, asymmetrical and deep v&#8217;s a-plenty hems were kept below the knee, it was a modern, sophisticated take on womenswear. Although the shapes deformed the female figure in a way, the way the dresses slipped off the shoulders and flowed added a romantic feel to this avant-garde collection.
