{"id":27363,"date":"2014-02-17T16:00:11","date_gmt":"2014-02-17T16:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wonderlandmagazine.com\/?p=27363"},"modified":"2014-02-17T16:00:11","modified_gmt":"2014-02-17T16:00:11","slug":"nasir-mazhar-aw14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wonderlandmagazine.com\/2014\/02\/17\/nasir-mazhar-aw14\/","title":{"rendered":"NASIR MAZHAR AW14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We take a look at Nasir Mazhar&#8217;s AW14 show, his first on-schedule show at London Fashion Week.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/006-1-e1392652580666.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a> <a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/007-1-e1392652590462.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27369\" alt=\"007-1\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/007-1-e1392652590462.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was hard to pin-point Nasir Mazhar&#8217;s specific inspiration for AW14, a mixture of nineties TLC and cholas was the overall feel we got from Nasir&#8217;s gang of bad girls.<br \/>\nThey stomped down the catwalk to a grime soundtrack in heavy boots and sporty silhouettes. An array of crop tops and mini skirts in blue, pink and gold lurex edged with bands of Nasir&#8217;s signature black and white branding, which also appeared peaking out of shorts like boxers reminiscent of the late great Aaliyah.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/006-1-e1392652580666.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"006-1\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/006-1-e1392652580666.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of 90&#8217;s hip hop icons, the faces of TLC members were stitched on the pockets of jackets, and although the collection had a tough, street vibe to it fur trims helped add a feminine edge. With that in mind however, everything from the styling to the hair and make up to the street-cast models attitude made it clear these are the kind of girls you don&#8217;t mess with.<br \/>\nLike his last menswear offering, models wore Bane-esque gas mask-headgear and backwards caps adding to the streetwear feel.<\/p>\n<p ><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/005-1-e1392652570135.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"005-1\" src=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/005-1-e1392652570135.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p ><a href=\"\/\/media.wonderlandmagazine.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/004-1-e1392652556752.jpg\"><img
