It’s been a meteoric rise for Kidnap Kid – the Black Butter<\/a> musician closed last year with iTunes US ‘Best Electronic Song of 2012’ for his debut, ‘Vehl’.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Tell us a bit about yourself \u2013 where did you grew up and how did you get into electronic music? <\/strong><\/p>\n I’m Matt, 22 and I grew up in Sheffield, England.<\/p>\n What do you think defines the Kidnap Kid sound? <\/strong><\/p>\n A few days ago I had an interview on East Village Radio, New York, and the interview said that my sound feels like ‘love’ to her. I quite like that. To me, the defining characteristic is that the music is colourful.<\/p>\n
