With emotionally powerful performances that leave you entranced by her vocal capabilities, she&#8217;s been tipped by Annie Mac and Huw Stephens to be one of the big new acts of 2013. <em>Wonderland<\/em> are pleased to present you with her brand new video to Frank Ocean\u2019s Swim Good.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yypvQiiUMvU\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you get into singing? Is it only since the Future sound of Nottingham in April?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been ongoing for the past two years really. My sister is a musician and she moved house and had a piano that wouldn\u2019t fit in her new place. I had a big house at that point so I kept it in my house and taught myself how to play it. After that I began writing my own songs and it went from there. I sung Gabriel by John Beck, as I love that song, and I posted it on Youtube. He saw my version and got in touch with me as he wanted to work with me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So how has your life changed in the past eight months and how do you feel you\u2019ve evolved as an artist?<\/strong><br \/>\nWell I don\u2019t have a job now, as my music is a full time commitment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How was it been breaking into the music scene as a new artist?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t want to say it\u2019s been easy, because it hasn\u2019t been, but it\u2019s been easier than I expected it to be, and a very quick process. But I don\u2019t want to say it was an easy process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is your Swim Good video a response to the original video or your personal interpretation of the song?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s my own interpretation of the song, not a response to his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PmN9rZW0HGo\">video<\/a> for it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What other artists do you listen to in your own time?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I personally listen to a lot of artists, like Alt-j and The xx. I love watching Kanye West perform and how when he is performing on stage he closes his eyes and puts his head down and it\u2019s all about him and his music. I love that passion, that is something that I would love to convey thorough my music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How are you feeling about your first headline gig on Saturday? Are you nervous or excited?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m really nervous. I am performing nine new songs, which haven\u2019t been performed before, so they\u2019re being premiered on Saturday. I\u2019ve got a piano, guitar and synth so its very minimal but conveys my music very well.
