The band’s self described, ‘guitar based hip-hop influenced music’, is the right kind of infectious and destined to become a sound of the summer to come. Thankfully – you needn’t wait until summer to catch them live – they’ll be playing at the Macbeth in Hoxton on the 29th of April.

Scottish Singer/Songwriter, A-L-X’s soulful delivery is building a lot of hype, and we’re all for it.

With excitable comparisons to Frank Ocean, The Weeknd and James Blake, at 23 he is crafting a mature and confident sound beyond his years – and his latest track, ‘Pieces of Me’ is no exception. With videos by Kate Moross and Jack Bowden, we jumped at the chance to make our own with him; meeting at Dalston’s Brilliant Corners for this special performance of ‘Timebomb’.

Wonderland New Noise alumni, JP Cooper, is a songwriter whose music has caught the attention of fans in the UK and beyond.

His writing transcends genre, but finds a constant in the passion that JP pours into his craft. We’ve been listening to his new EP, ‘When The Darkness Comes’, and when we got an opportunity to catch him for a Wonderland Session we rushed down to South London and captured this special performance of ‘Closer’.

The Thurlow sisters, originally from Ireland and raised in Bristol. formed a punk band in 2007 called The Vulgarians. After 3 years their musical output became a more grunge, shoegaze influenced sound as they renamed themselves 2:54. Fans and critics alike embraced their new guise, and it wasn’t long before they released a couple of singles with Fiction records, and followed that touring with the likes of The xx, and Warpaint.

Last year they signed to Bella Union, released an album and headlined a UK tour – we can’t wait to find out what 2015 has in store.

Californian twins, ‘The Garden’ are a Wonderland favourite, and we’re not the only ones. With a sound born from Punk, nurtured by garage-rock and delivered in raw and deafening lo-fi; their self-inflicted ‘Vada Vada’ genre is a force to be reckoned with.

With sold out shows and a European tour in the bag, the brothers are driving forward as hard as their sound. Fresh off releasing new single, ‘Surprise’, they’re set to play The Boston Arms in Tufnell Park tonight. The Garden live show is a visceral, experiential event, that’ll leave you dazed and biting your nails for their return in March, where they’ll be supporting Warpaint on a UK tour.

Hailing from Palenville – a small hamlet; Simone grew up with music – spending his teenage years in a punk band that rehearsed in the acoustic confines of his Grandpa’s barn. Eventually he would team up with his brothers Ian and James – to form The Felice Brothers, to much success and critical acclaim before forming and leading another band – ‘The Duke & The King’.

Simone is a published author, whose words and music have been a ticket to destinations worldwide – from readings of his poetry, personal invites from Rick Rubin to play drums in LA, and touring his songwriting across Europe and beyond. He’s currently in the UK – playing a string of intimate, absorbing and largely acoustic performances of tracks featured in his latest, very well received ‘Strangers LP’, amongst many more from previous releases.

Last week, Wonderland met Simone at St Pancras Old Church, during soundcheck for his sold-out show. The sound of Felice’s vocals reverberating off the old church walls alongside the open-face piano was too good not to record. So we got this exclusive acoustic performance of the breathtaking ‘Bye Bye Palenville’.

Simone plays another performance at St Pancras Old Church on Friday December 5th – and we certainly recommend it. Get a ticket fast whilst there’s still some remaining.

Madrid band Deers are a two piece by the names of Ana Garcia Perrote and Carlotta Cosials – expanding to a quartet with Ade Martin and Amber Grimbergen for gigs – and really, really special occasions like the Wonderland Sessions. We caught the four of them at Corsica Studios for a performance of ‘Bamboo’.
