‘Best Thing’

‘Dormant’

We Were Evergreen are a trio of French multi-instrumentalists tearing a path through the London live scene and festivals alike. We caught their set at Glastonbury and needed more of their intoxicatingly upbeat and original sound that shifts arrangement and approach with each unique performance. All the better for a Wonderland Session, then.

As visually brilliant as they are sonically – check out their sounds and videos over at http://www.musicwwe.com/

Creating electro-anglo-pop; French harmonies, sung in English, there is no doubt that We Were Evergreen are one of a kind. Watching them live is a sensational experience, with the sheer number of instruments that will blow your mind. Listening at home is an equal pleasure, with the band’s upbeat sound bringing happiness and creativity to any mind who hears them

Fabienne, William and Michael, We Were Evergreen, have been playing live for the past 5 years, supporting the likes of Little Dragon, Goldfrapp, London Grammar, and Metronomy. The trio collide the worlds of literature, art, textile and sound, creating something that is exclusively theirs. A plethora of influences and instruments comprise the band’s unique sound.

Le Pop Up du Label.

With a half french half english team, this venue – restaurant – event space is probably the most open-minded place to be in Paris. Super cool and laid back, there are gigs 4 nights a week, with an international indie line up, great food and cocktails, as well as special events from upcoming artists, installations and brands.

Les triplettes de Belleville.

Pizza-party, great vibes, simplicity and french 90’s underground culture makes this place a must.

Le Bateau de la Concrete.

This place has an amazing calibre of music coming through their doors, with the biggest international techno, deep and minimal djs, as well as the most unbelievable upcoming dance scene. The boat is definitely the right place to go to move your feet all night long. Oh, and remember, NO standing. Only DANCING is their rule.

L’Abreuvoir.

A very unique tearoom and wine bar in the 11th district

La Sardine.

Tucked away from the bustle of nearby Belleville, Place Sainte-Marthe is a lovely little haven to cool down in – on summer evenings, La Sardine’s terrace spreads out lazily onto the tiny square, offering great food and drinks, an unpretentious atmosphere and (usually) live music.

You can grab the album ‘Towards here.
