We’re never averse to a good party, and Studio55 do some of the best. Last week, we found ourselves at some double-arched vaults in the heart of Camberwell, trying to play glow-in-the-dark ping pong. No, seriously.

Trust the good folk behind 55DSL to get in Ping Tron, the festival phenom that pimps table tennis with fluro paint to turn the entire endeavour into a sci-fi adventure. Trust us, after banging your noggin in the dark while trying to find the neon ball, you’ll feel your head spinning too…. Hip-hop producer and DJ Mo Fingaz provided the requisite down-and-dirty tunes, while leftfield London illustrator Benjamin Murphy performed a live show of his talents.

All in the name of Studio55, which serves as a platform for young creatives, and legendary moments in the past have included shows by pioneering street-style photographers Gavin Watson and Alex Fakso, acclaimed artists Best Ever and graphic illustrator MitchyBwoy. We’ll serve up to that anyday.
