Over recent seasons Rag and Bone have proved they can bag the who’s who of Hollywood’s up and coming cool kids and they’ve gone and done it again for summer 2014, appointing American actor Emile Hirsch and French-born newcomer Stacy Martin, shot by Glen Luchford.

We’ve all heard of Emile, who first caught our eye in the early noughties and has since got a name for himself in hit flicks such as ‘Milk’ and ‘In To The Wild’. His next venture sees him next to Mark Wahlberg in Hollywood blockbuster ‘Lone Survivor’.
Stacy Martin is relatively unknown for know but will without a doubt make waves when Lars Von Trier’s controversial ‘Nymphomaniac’ starring Charlotte Gainsbourg and Willem Dafoe makes its premier at Cannes come May. We predict big things for her from there, with a solid modelling career already behind her shooting for Wonderland amongst an array of well-known fashion publications.

The campaign was shot in downtown L.A in an abandoned motel to represent the ‘less shiny side of L.A’, which see’s Emile utilising his ‘Lords of Dogtown’ skateboarding skills in the motels empty pool.

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and we look at the top print trends.

Who can forget Miranda Priestly’s line in the book-cum-film The Devil Wears Prada, “Florals? For spring? Ground breaking.” Yet, New York Fashion Week in full swing and one of the trends we see are prints, everywhere. More specifically- florals, paisley and op-art. Here we round up the favourite pattern trends of New York designers.

Florals: Despite Priestly’s hesitation with this pattern, it is hard to forsee any respite from it for Spring seasons. After all, what is spring fashion without a little bit of flowers?

Paisley: Not drifting too far from the ever popular floral pattern, paisley was best utilized in colourful bursts on Thakoon’s silk vest and skirt combination, or Suno’s top trimmings.

Op Art: Popularized by artists such as Bridget Riley, op art is perpetually common in fashion patterns. Charlotte Ronson opted to utilize this print in an array of coloured lines whilst Rag and Bone’s blocky pattern gives the most monotonous dresser something to look forward to come sunshine.
