Oprah donned a giant afro wig nicknamed ‘Wild Thang’ (yes, we know) for the new hair-centric issue of O Magazine, which is dedicated to equipping women with the skills to “grow it, blo it and awesomely fro it”. As Refinery29 point out, the wig weighs about as much as a small chihuahua, albeit a small chihuahua with the most glamorously trashy name in the world. Maybe there is a small chihuahua hiding in it. WHY ARE LUXURY GOODS GETTING MORE AND MORE EXPENSIVE?

TOTALLY INEVITABLE CARA DELEVINGNE MOVIE RUMOURS

This was totally going to happen, and you know it: after all, Cara Delevingne‘s always maintained in interviews that the modelling gig is a stopgap between her wildly successful music and/or film career (as her Russian aristo cameo in Anna Karenina, above, proves). Now the 20-year-old’s been cast in Kids In Love, a movie about “hard-partying young Londoners”. As the Mail on Sunday somewhat pointedly notes, “some aspects of the storyline will not be a particularly big stretch for Cara.” [MoS]

PRABAL GURUNG WANTS TO HEAR IT FOR THE LADIES

It’s a common misconception that having an interest in fashion somehow demeans your intelligence – especially if you’re female (as if Miuccia Prada‘s the only woman with a PhD in fashion). But that’s not how Prabal Gurung sees it. “I wouldn’t be doing what I do today if I believed it,” he writes in a blog post entitled ‘On Women, Power and Fashion’ on his website The Journal. “With more women in power and more feminine influence in society, the world would be more empathetic and compassionate and would become a better place.” Preach!
