This weekend saw twenty-two shortlisted candidates from Middlesex University debut their graduate collections to the fashion world. Renowned for nurturing the future of British fashion talent, Director of Programmes, Meg Osborne spoke about the course: “Our BA Fashion Programmes create young, exciting, talented designers, who are industry ready. Our designers excel in both skills and imagination. We represent the best of London’s emerging talent.  Our renowned industry panel has recognised our innovative womenswear, the strength of our menswear, and the perfect balance of textiles and design. We actively promote diversity of expression. We have no gag reflex.”

Whilst the show was organised by a team of Fashion Communication and Stylist students, the twenty-two collections presented illustrated complex structure, innovative fabric constructions, conventional and unconventional silhouettes and developed print techniques; and whilst all were powerful in their own right, seven in particular caught our eye…
