every hotel is the hotel brand that does things a little differently. Going against the four star hotel grain (rebellious, I know)  the company has done away with some of the frankly superfluous extras that many luxury hotels supplies – business suites and *gasp* spas – to focus on what people really need from their hotel experience. How do they know what the people want? Well, they asked them. It turns out what we really care about is top notch (free!) Wifi, quick check in, and Nespresso-making facilities. No prizes for guessing what every hotel, Piccadilly, has decided to focus on.

Yep, the complimentary free bar and coffee making facilities were well plundered by me during my stay. There’s something so easy about popping in a capsule and letting the caffeinated times roll on. The bed was also feathery soft and deliciously comfortable so I would have had an excellent night’s sleep had I not drank all those espressos. Fortunately, my nighttime alertness just meant I could go out and enjoy the stellar location of the Piccadilly. It’s right in the heart of theater town and truly in the midst of central London proper. Being a London native, I initially thought I would be above taking the advice of the Piccadilly’s guide service (like a less pretentious concierge, there to dispense hand-tailored guidance and local knowledge) but it turned out they really did know what they were talking about – where to get a good Martini at 3 in the morning, for example.

every hotel’s streamlined structure doesn’t mean they compromise on quality, however, as breakfast (always my favourite part of the hotel experience) was as wonderful as I would expect from a four star hotel – as was the super attentive service and well-polished decor. Add to this Smart TV and that damn fast Wifi (faster, I’m told, than in any other hotel) and you’ve got a pretty perfect new kind of hotel.
