Detour City, aka 24-year old Tabitha Benjamin, is one of those new artists set to break the mould. Already boasting a string of collaborations under her belt with the likes of Wilkinson, Breakage and Dimension, along with a must-hear remix of Bastille which went wild in cyber space, Tabitha combines a myriad of influences to form something truly unique, fresh and vital.

Her story is as captivating as her sound. Having started out on the acoustic circuit gigging with the likes of an as-then-undiscovered Ed Sheeran, elements of folk songwriting and storytelling sensibility run through Tabitha’s music. With a sound that conjures vivid imagery, telling a spellbinding narrative twinned with her own impressive production, her music is unique in its own right.

Today we premiere the sun-drenched road trip inspired video for Tabitha’s debut track ‘Merlin (Everybody Knows)’ – a song born from her beloved ukulele a decade ago, proving the perfect introduction to lead listeners into her intoxicating soundscape.
