I was scouted when I was fourteen at a small convention at a double tree hotel outside of my hometown. I really didn’t think it was going to get me anywhere, but I knew I had to start somehow. I ended up signing with an agency in New York City that fall.

You’re only 18 but you’re a writer and a model! What do you write about? How do you fit everything in?

I write a lot of poetry, but I have also written a few short stories. Generally, I write about the experiences I’ve had, but I have written a few fiction stories. I mainly like to focus on reality and the world through my eyes. I have an unpredictable life, so I really just try to take it easy. I don’t force myself to write when I’m not in the mood. If I feel like writing then I make sure I have plenty of time to do so. I think it’s important to make time for the things you love to do.

Who are your favourite writers?

Fitzgerald is my all time favorite writer. I am obsessed with his stories, especially ‘The Great Gatsby’. As for poets, I’m really into Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and Shakespeare. I love the classics.

You’ve been papped with Nicki Minaj after walking Marc Jacobs’ show, what’s been the craziest moment you’ve had so far as a model?

 The craziest moment was probably the entire day of the Marc show. The Marc Jacobs show was really like my first big thing, so that day literally felt like one big dream. It was so surreal. I still think to myself, “Did that really happen or was it all a dream?”. It was honestly the greatest experience!

Have you ever worn anything for a shoot or show you wished you could’ve taken home?

Growing up, I’ve always loved fashion. So I literally want to take home everything! I really  loved the Marc Jacobs collection, it was magnificent.

Who’s your favourite designer at the moment?

Marc Jacobs definitely, but I also really love Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein.

You’re from Pittsburgh? What’s your favourite thing about home?

I live outside of Pittsburgh in a very small town, deep in the woods, so it’s so calm and quiet. That’s my favorite thing about being home. After the hectic fast-paced fashion world, it’s like a vacation. I get to rest and spend time with my family!

We’ve seen the Morrissey and Smiths love on your Insta, what’s your favourite song?

 I absolutely love The Smiths! They are one of my favorite bands ever. ‘There is a light that never goes out’ is one of my top favorites, “To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die”. I also love “Asleep”, “Meat is Murder”, and “Nowhere Fast”.

What do you do in your time off?

 In my time off, I listen to music, write, or watch TV shows. I love music! I listen to a range of music including Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, The Smiths, Nirvana, The Killers, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Janes Addiction, and The Weeknd.
