As the second recipient of the £150,000 BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund E. Tautz was chosen from a shortlist featuring Astrid Andersen, Christopher Raeburn, Matthew Miller and Sibling. Revived by Patrick Grant in 2009, the English heritage brand has been a favourite at LC:M in recent seasons. Steeped in English heritage, the AW15 collection saw luxurious layered outerwear and heavy knits in a comfortingly miserable greyscale palette.

Dylan Jones OBE, Editor of British GQ and Chair of London Collections Men a judge for the grant commented: “This year the level of talent and business acumen presented by the shortlisted designers was exceptionally high, making the competition both tough and intensely exciting. Patrick demonstrated unique flair, precise craftsmanship and an inherent sense of commercial awareness.”

Caroline Rush the BFC’s Chief Executive congratulated Grant for his, “strong identity, precise business plan and noteworthy presence at LC:M.”
