Crafting a signature sound of storytelling indie-pop, imbued with deeply personal and diaristic lyricism, Imogen Clark has captivated listeners and nurtured a burgeoning fanbase. With “Big One,” she seeks to elevate her burgeoning homeland acclaim onto the global stage, presenting an enigmatic new single alongside compelling visuals.

On “Big One,” Clark infuses her alt-pop roots with the infectiousness of classic 80s pop while tinting her sound with the empowerment and vulnerability reminiscent of 90s female singer-songwriters. The production, rich and immersive, fosters an intimate and introspective atmosphere. Speaking on creating the track and it’s ideation, Imogen explains, “I wanted a song that was intimate and vulnerable but massive, as big sounding as the feelings I was writing about. I wrote it with Sam Phay in Melbourne, and I came in with the idea that had been growing in my mind, this hunger to be the big one in somebody’s life, the love that stays in their heart even if the relationship doesn’t last.”
