SASHA DAWE – “BUGS”

Inspired by the Norwegian-German shoe-gazing vibes of The Whitest Boy Alive and the sideways sarcasm of Jeff Tweedy, Sasha’s musical odyssey has continuously defied expectation, unconventionally fusing post-punk folk with compelling storytelling. Sasha Dawe’s releases earlier this year, ‘Baby Blue’ and ‘Shovelling Hopes and Dreams’, teased the world with country-fused delights. On ‘Bugs’, Sasha continues to envelope listeners in his country-folk atmosphere.

Channelling a poignant tone, reminiscent of Johnny Cash, Sasha infuses the track with his distinct personality. He crafts a piece of music which questions false narratives while championing the importance of trusting one’s instincts, whilst seamlessly woven through light-hearted guitar strings.

“I wanted ‘Bugs’ to delve into the chaos of sensationalism and fear propaganda, emphasizing the significance of cherishing personal instincts amidst the noise,” explains Sasha Dawe. His lyrical prowess shines as he crafts a deeply poetic narrative that resonates universally, urging us to navigate the turbulent waters of life with authenticity and intuition.
